Men’s Health Event

Recently, our team was proud to attend the Men’s Health Event held at Park Lane, Community Centre, Woodside. It was a valuable opportunity to support important conversations and raise awareness in the community.

 

 

RCGP and Addiction Professionals Managing Addictions in Primary Care Conference

Julie Cheadle, who is the Operational Lead for the Telford STaRS Family Safeguarding Team, and Paul Grocutt, the Head of Service for Telford and Wrekin Family Safeguarding, presented at the RCGP and Addiction Professionals Managing Addictions in Primary Care Conference on Thursday 26th February.
They were given the opportunity to deliver a presentation on the Telford Family Safeguarding Team model, exploring the importance of working to support families in the Telford and Wrekin community.

 

Our Clinical Lead Michelle Astbury celebrated 40 years working in the NHS

We are very excited to share the news that our Clinical Lead, Michelle Astbury, has recently celebrated 40 years working in the NHS. We are incredibly proud to celebrate this milestone with Michelle and grateful for the commitment and expertise she brings to the service!

Dry January Billboard Promotion

As part of our Dry January Campaign, throughout the month, billboard ads have been displayed locally to help raise awareness of our service and the support available to the community. We are proud to have had the opportunity to increase local visibility and connect with the residence of Telford & Wrekin during this national campaign.

Willliam Farr special award for exceptional work addressing health inequalities

In November our Drug and Alcohol hospital liaison Team, Ros Dalton and Natasha Allen, were awarded the 2025 Willliam Farr special award for exceptional work addressing health inequalities.
